"Seven days" - Tips for university life

It's officially a week until my Christmas break ends and I get to head back to uni for my second semester. Since starting this blog, going back has become more than just going back to study something I love, but also that I get to broadcast all of the memories and passion to other people around the world. There is no better experience than moving away from home and surrounding yourself with people that have the same aspirations as you, and for me university is just that.
But my problem here is that I don't think I've been utilising my time and opportunities particularly well so far. So here's a list of things that I'm going to aim to achieve over this next semester, which maybe you can do to make sure you're getting the best out of your university experience.
Go out more - since going to university, my friends and I have been out twice, and both of those were during freshers in September. I'm not saying go out clubbing every Friday night because I definitely do not enjoy nor have the money to do that. But planning to go to a quiz night at the local wetherspoons or a drink at the local pub will force me from sitting in my room, accidentally avoiding much social life.
Ask about university facilities - as a dance student, I really wished I'd taken a minute to ask about the availability of the dance studios. As I only discovered a week or two before the end of the last semester, we can actually book these out and spend time rehearsing, working out or just trying out new things. This term, I'm set that I want to exploit this at least twice a week with my friends.
Read more - my course doesn't require much set reading, however I think that, so I can get the most out of my course, I really need to start engaging with all the books available in the uni library. Sometimes the lessons we accidentally learn are those we learn from the most, so I'm setting a target of reading one course related book a week until summer
